Carlsbad has so many hidden gems in the village, it’s almost impossible to mention just one. Cafe Topes is a must in Carlsbad Village off of Roosevelt Street. They were voted best for breakfast in Carlsbad, and carry the famous Stumptown coffee! This little hole in the wall attracts so many locals that there is typically a line out the door. Also, plan to get there early if you want to try their famous sticky cinnamon rolls! They truly are to die for.
Also, Cafe Topes just received a notable mention from the San Diego Union Tribune in their new article: San Diego’s Top 25 Brunch Spots! It’s always been a favorite to locals, and the owners realized that, so they went ahead and opened up The Goods off of State Street. This is now becoming another favorite in the area! This is a quaint doughnut shop with inventive doughnuts, and delicious coffee options.
